As a parent, you would know your child best. You would notice their quirks, strengths, and struggles that other people wouldn’t notice. Sometimes, it can be hard to notice whether they are between a phase or they might need a little extra help.

That’s where OT comes in handy! OT assists children build the skills they need for everyday – whether it is at home, school or even in the playground! So how do you know if your child may benefit from OT

-       Struggles daily activities e.g. holding your pencil, tying your shoelaces

-       Sensory overload/ underload e.g. extra sensitive to sounds, clothing textures. Or constant seeking movement or touch

-       Big reactions to small changes

-       Difficulty with attention or focus

-       Poor gross motor skills

-       Social or play challenges

You don’t need a formal diagnosis to seek support. If you notice something doesn’t seem quite right, reaching out to an OT can be a great first step. We are here to support you and your family, every step of the way!
