Here at Kids Inspired, we offer the following assessments:​

  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Fifth Edition (WISC-V): Involves young person completing a variety of tasks using an iPad that assess for verbal comprehension, visual-spatial abilities, fluid reasoning, working memory, and processing speed. 

  • Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - Third Edition (WIAT-III): Involves the young person completing a variety of tasks using an iPad and paper to assess reading, writing, comprehension, and maths abilities.

  • Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales - Third Edition: Involves the primary carers and/or teachers completing an online questionnaire regarding the young person's functioning across different areas of life such as communication, daily living, and social skills. 


Assessments are conducted by Psychologists who are qualified and registered with AHPRA.

Assessments can be helpful for the following: 

  • Diagnoses such as Intellectual Disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Comparing child's cognitive or academic performance to peers of their age

  • Understanding your child's cognitive strengths and difficulties

  • Support for applications (such as NDIS funding and learning support)

  • Assessing for giftedness

  • Assessing the impact of brain injuries. 

A typical package includes:

  • 1 hour Initial interview with parent/carer to obtain background information and issues of concern

  • Administration of the assessment

  • If additional assessments or sessions are required, they will be subsequently booked

  • A comprehensive report including the results of the assessment and clinical recommendations
