Assessment for Early Childhood (including Giftedness, School Readiness, Intellectual Disability)

Assessment for early childhood Involves:

  • An initial parent/carer interview to gather background information

  • 1 x 2 hour appt administration of the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI ) to measure your child's general abilities. Plus administration of the Bracken School Readiness Assessment or Wechsler Individual Achievement Test Fourth Edition (WIAT-111) screeners (early reading, alphabet writing fluency, and maths problem solving) to measure a child's performance in school-related tasks for reading, writing and maths.

  • Collaborative information gathered from teachers / child-care providers.

  • Scoring of assessments, diagnostic formulation, and report writing
