Sophie Gilbert

Senior Occupational Therapist

Sophie is an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of practice supporting children and their families. She has worked across several private practices, providing both clinic based and mobile therapy throughout East and South Sydney and the Southern Highlands. Over the course of Sophie’s career, she has supported children aged 3 to 18 years with a wide range of strengths, support needs, and diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, sensory processing differences, Down syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, and intellectual disabilities.

She is deeply committed to empowering children to build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to participate meaningfully in everyday activities. Sophie strives to make therapy engaging, playful, and purposeful, with a particular passion for early intervention and supporting preschool and early primary school children.

Drawing on both a broad professional background and lived experience as a parent of neurodivergent children, Sophie brings a calm, empathetic, and holistic approach to therapy. This combination of clinical expertise and personal insight allows her to connect authentically with young people and their families.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys cooking, gardening, and exploring creative projects.
