Art & Play Therapist

We are excited to be opening the opportunity for an early career Art & Play Therapist, in a supportive and enriching new role!

What we are looking for in our new therapist:

  • Excited to be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and seeking a permanent part time time position, working Tuesdays 11am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-5pm (with 1 hour lunch breaks).

  • Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents with varying presentations of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.

  • Passionate about working therapeutically from a neurodiversity affirming perspective, with  knowledge and experience of working with a variety of neurodivergent presentations, especially PDAers.

  • Minimum 3-year Bachelors Degree in Psycotherapy/Counselling/Psychology/Social Work, and full registration with associated professional body, such as AHPRA, AASW, ACA, PACFA or ANZACTA.

  • Current Working With Children's Check and Police Check.

  • NSW Drivers Licence and access to your own car. This role will be predominately facilitating therapy in our centre at Kirrawee, however there may be some occasions whereby assessment/therapy in pre-schools and schools (no home-based therapy) is provided.
