Occupational Therapy Assistant
Meet our newest OT team member - Rebekah! She is in her final year of studying OT and is joining us as a part-time OT assistant whilst completing her final uni requirements, and will then be on team full time from November.
Rebekah has worked as a disability support worker and athletics coach, equipping kids with the skills they need to succeed in their goals. She has also undertaken many practical placements, working alongside other OTs in the community with children and families.
Rebekah is passionate about helping kids to reach their milestones, growing and building on important skills in confidence, socialising and motor skills, as well as implementing a play-based approach to make therapy fun and unique to each child.
In her spare time, Rebekah can be found surfing (at least trying to) at the beach, exploring action-filled adventures in and out of Sydney, socialising with friends, and chasing after her houdini cat Fennel.
You will find Rebekah in session shadowing our registered OT Christine or around the centre focusing on resource creation and other bits and pieces!
